Yeah.... I'm not sure its a good idea to:

Notice how Moldova seems to be made of 2 countries. It's a rather interesting story.
When the Soviet Union broke up, the "country" on the eastern portion of Moldova called Transnistria was not allowed to be its own country. Instead, it was forced to be a part of Moldova. Moldova is more like Romania and Transnistria is more like Russia.
My Mom's family lived just to the east of Transnistria before they came over the the US. To the east of Transnistria is the Kuchurhan River and east of the river is Ukraine.
I tried to go over the border to visit but when I arrived they asked me where I was staying. I told them I just wanted to do some shopping and not stay. This drop dead gorgeous woman with light brown hair questioned me and saw I had a US passport. She sternly said to me, "Go back to Ukraine!"
Here's a picture of the border between Transnistria and Ukraine. Notice how there is a guard tower on the Transnistrian side. It was just like a scene out of "The Great Escape".
