They have never lost a war, they destroyed your country men, made Japan and France look like fools and made China run back to Beijing. No joke, I have literally been cussed at , slapped , blocked and called every name in the book when I say "tùy e" girls will go crazy... I say it all the time to my hyna. she hates it.
There is nothing that translates exactly Tankser, how we talk for the most part, is not exactly how they talk. Some things translate right over but a lot doesn't, I will teach you some great slang in northern Vietnam you can flirt with your nail lady, only if she is from the north.

I've said it before here but maybe the guy you replied to hasn't seen it in this long thread. The Philippines has such friendly people and most of all they speak English (unless you get into the provinces). That goes a long way for visiting a country.
