NEWS | Miss Grand International 2021 Arrested!

Expanding the investigation of the case of KERA candy, the Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security had arrested former Miss Grand International Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien for being involved in the 'Gummy Monkey' Health Food Distribution Scandal. The food, which was labeled as “fake goods”, were distributed in 135,000 boxes. It was reported that Thuy Tien received a commission of 7 billion Vietnamese dong or equivalent to $269,744 USD.

Nhu Phạm Quang Linh Nguyễn Thị Thái Hằng Lê Tuấn Linh and Lê Thành Công, directors and board members of Chị Em Rọt Nguyễn Phong, chairman of Asia Life, who were accused of producing the fake food products are now facing serious charges and is under the watch of the authorities.

| World Bank updates growth forecast for ASEAN countries in 2025

The East Asia and Pacific Economic Update Report recently released by the World Bank forecasts that in the ASEAN bloc, Vietnam is expected to lead with a growth rate of 5.8% in 2025, followed by the Philippines with 5.3%, Indonesia with 4.7%; Cambodia with 4%; Malaysia with 3.9%; Laos with 3.5% and Thailand with a growth rate of 1.65%.

It’s great to see how amazing all of these places have become

Especially after the pics of the cities above

But this is one area they are still dragging behind on greatly

Time to move on from dogs

Any argument by them that it’s the same as chickens are to us tells me they still have a long way to go in some things

That is not their argument at all, they have no argument about eating it. That is what some people in America would say.. It is a cultural thing, China is the same but there are way more restaurants that serve dog and cat here than in China from my point of view. It is more of an older crowd that eats it as well. Not many young people eat it.
