I always thought Lotus of Siam was overrated. IMO there's better Thai food at a number of places in Vegas. Their deserts are pretty good, though. Sorry you didn't have a good meal, but I'm not 100% surprised.

Back in the 2000s it was pretty good, around 2006/2007. Then they expanded into the next area and for some reason their quality went down hill.

I get gumbo everywhere I go, all over new Orleans, etc.

This is unique in its own way and every bit as good as anything in New Orleans

In New Orleans close but New Orleans is not even close to the best place to get Gumbo.
