Exactly between a zero and 10 spice level. I usually get a four and then I ask for a side of the spice. If it's not hot enough for me I can just add more. If I get it too hot I can't take anything out

Look up the reviews of the oyster bar there. There are thousands and thousands of great reviews. It is definitely worth the price. Thousands of people cannot be wrong

I have had it myself so no need for reviews plus I am as Cajun as it gets so I know good Gumbo when I have it. I have eaten it my entire life.

As I mentioned above it's not a bad meal but at the same time being that I have had god knows how many bowls of the stuff I don't think it's quite worth 30.99 again I have had much much better quality for far less. It doesn't mean it's not good it is in my opinion not quite 31 bucks good when it comes to Gumbo. I don't regret paying for it personally but I could see where plenty of people would think so or be unwilling to pay that much for it.

I get gumbo everywhere I go, all over new Orleans, etc.

This is unique in its own way and every bit as good as anything in New Orleans

I always thought Lotus of Siam was overrated. IMO there's better Thai food at a number of places in Vegas. Their deserts are pretty good, though. Sorry you didn't have a good meal, but I'm not 100% surprised.
