Good points about not losing sportsbooks over petty matters. I know Ive received at least $2k in bonuses/casino money from them for the year or so Ive been with them, so I'll just look at that for the bets they voided. Im not out to bash anyone, just good that we have this place to discuss how some sportsbooks operate and if they think its ok with what they did, then theres really nothing I, or anyone can do about it.

I did find an old thread from another sports forum, not sure if its allowed to be posted, but was about a cancelled nascar bet at youwager that was being disputed after the race was a WEEK over, never has a outcome in that thread. Was from 2020 and titled

YouWager bans account, steals winnings with week old voided bet

One other complaint in 1.5 years like this is nothing for as many games there are to bet on.

I will never be able to agree with bets being void after the start of the game, but their rules give them the power and they hold the money.

It should be good for the books as well that we have these places, if they are good they will get the compliments they deserve. No bashing, just information and everyone can make their own decisions.

Dude, betus is a cash cow. They just keep giving 100% bonuses even after you beat them. At least that's been my experience. They did burn me on a bonus offer recently. But any book that will continue to give you bonuses after you withdraw a 5 digit amount is one you want to hang on to.
That wasn't the case for me. They limited me before I finish my first rollover. But if they keep dropping you 100% FP that is insanely good, considering they have some pretty soft lines.

Here is the thing, 30 min is a long time to hang your line, but what if you are stream betting and the line dropped like a rock in 2-3 min. Is that still consider a bad line? On any given day if you have key players like Curry, Durant,, Giannis out, that news will change the line by 3+ points.

In this case it was easily visible that it was an error by looking at the line archive of full game and archive of 1h.

What you are explaining is a stale line.

BetPhoenix books allegedly cancelled all bets on Chiefs when Rodgers got Covid, which is a totally different situation than this one.

And also complete bullshit by them.

Still learning this stuff.

So 2-3 min of line change is stale line, and like 5-10 min is bad line in pregame?

I know for live game even 15 seconds can be a bad line sometimes, like a int in the final min of the game would throw everything out of wack if it stalls 15 seconds.

Stale line = Everyone else's lines moved and one book's didn't for whatever reason. Usually they don't last very long. Betting these lines is called "chasing steam."
Bad line = A book just puts the wrong number up. Typically they get the dog and the favorite mixed up or their software makes an error. These almost always get cancelled.

THis!!! That wasn't a bad line. That was an irresponsible sportsbook with incompetent line movers and they should honor that wager. If anything take it out of the line managers paycheck but that's not a bad line. thats called losing a customer instead of holding your employees accountable....

Call it whatever you want. But the end result of a line which is bad from the start and a line which becomes bad because it's stale is the same - the line is off market and the book may void it. Some books have more or less tolerance than others.

Agree on the tolerance part but IMO being off market for being stale doesn't qualify as an obvious bad line due to human or software error. A +3 or a plus juice on both spreads does fall under that IMO but a stale line cause LM fell asleep on his watch is the responsibility of the book cause thats what they get paid for. Avoiding those stale lines so sharps don't pound them, otherwise you can train anyone to just type data into a program when their software tells them " line change" or a side got too loaded.

They shouldn't void a wager like that. A human error is not the same as a human f*** up lol but then again Im a cranky old geezer lol

There's certainly some grey area here. It's also fairly book specific. If I bet that line at YW I would expect it to get cancelled. If I bet it at Bovada I would expect it to stand.
I think there's a point at which a stale line becomes a bad line. How many seconds/minutes it takes is up for debate.

Yeah most definitely. You said it better than myself. Agree with this and hence the importance of having those different accounts. A long time ago I gave up on the romantic idea of being loyal to one book in particular. Learn I gotta be loyal to my bankroll lol

It was not a stale line, it was an error.

Lines do not move from -5.5 to -3 to -6
Whoa! Was there a - 5.5? I might have missed that part and that those make a difference but it was my understanding that the original line was - 3 with the books maybe expecting curry and Thompson to sit( plus green out) and all of the sudden they were announced on the starting lineup and the line jump to 6 due to that and money coming in at the same time. But if there was a - 5 prior to the - 3 then yeah, gotta say error
