Memphis is dead. Gave it 2 shots last couple years. Went from bad to worse. Beal St is dead, the food is mediocre, the people are all mean and all black, I think you should go to Nashville a day earlier, go see Jackson Estate & have an exceptional steak. Great food scene there.

Dead food scene, but good luck anyway. Always try something new, but stay safe.
America with the exception of many cities in California is a shit hole. Terrible culture , environment and atmosphere sucks. Americans are shitty people for the most part.

Agree, why i stay on the Caribbean side of CR. Young European backpackers, bohemian vibe and a cultural attitude of tolerance & Ce La Vie

Anytime I come back to America or disgusts me more and more. It’s embarrassing the society to be honest. Can’t wait to get out of here.

Interesting - never been.

Have heard Graceland is not much more than a super sized McMansion surrounded by commercial real estate.

Still - would be interesting to visit one day.
The house itself is actually smaller than what I would consider a McMansion. It's not all that impressive.

What is impressive are the extra buildings that house all the stuff in the pics.

Remember he didn't build Graceland- it was built in the depression by a wealthy local family, in depression era America that place was like Buckingham Palace.

It's a neat tour. You won't see the upstairs or the famous bathroom...but you will see all the graves!

Nashville to me is the non gambling version of Vegas - touristy/trendy and everything is overpriced. Worth a visit for a couple of days - but no way in hell I’d live anywhere near that town.

Memphis is life in the South - some very nice parts of town and a lot of them you probably don’t want to go near at night - food though is in those parts of town in some small cafeteria.

East TN still on my radar as far as a move - but would be at least an hour East of Nashville. Knoxville is an underrated town.

Hope you’re enjoying Illini.
