Good spot for the Angels here as they are playing much better baseball as of late. New York on the other hand, is wrapping a long 10 game road trip tonight before traveling back home and playing the Brewers. I think the Angels get it done and win the series 2-1. Sandoval has been dealing all season with sub 3 ERA, but hasn't had any W's to his name in the last two games. I think he'll have another solid outing and get the result at home tonight.

Pick: Angels ML (-115) v. Mets

The Padres are coming off two losses and have Darvish on the mound against his former team. If (and that's a big if) he can get out of the first inning tonight, I think he will have a very solid outing tonight. I think he can shut down this Cubs lineup who is mediocre at best.

Brubaker is bad. He has close to 60 innings pitched on the season and has yet to win a decision. He's sitting at 0-6 and the team hasn't been doing him any favors either. I'm going to continue to fade Pittsburgh and Brubaker until further notice. The Cardinals have hit over 4.5 runs the last 2 games and I think that streak continues today as they look to string a few wins together.

The pitching advantage favors the Twins today, with Sonny Gray on the mound. Gray has had an impressive start to the year and Minnesota is coming off a loss where they manufactured zero runs. It's a great value spot to back the Twins. Although it's the more bet side, I'm fairly confident the better team will pull through.

I like Martin Perez and he’s been having a great year. The Rangers should never be this big of a favorite. The books are loving Perez and I think the offense comes around too.

Rays are coming off a really bad stretch in recent games. Thankfully for them they play the lowly Orioles. TB should get back on the winning side today with Baz on the mound.

It's scary to go against the red hot Yankees team. They have won 8 games in a row with great pitching and hitting. But the starting pitching match up favors Toronto today as Manoah looks to continue his dominant season. The issue with Toronto the last couple of games has been starting pitching and Alek should be able to fix that today as long as he gets quick outs. If the home team can give him run support, Toronto should get back on the winning foot.

I think it's this low for a reason. Both pitchers had a solid outing last time out and I think we see that continuing in today's game. We know what Cole is capable of and McClanahan on the other side is having a great year. We're going to see a lot of swing and misses tonight and I have a small lean on the Rays but going to stick with the under instead.

Martin Perez is on the mound for Texas, who's having a great start to the year. He's surprisingly in the early running for Cy Young noise in the American League. The spot here is great as well, with Texas losing the last 2 games in Detroit by a combined 21-10. They are back home in the friendly confines in Texas. The Phillies are having a great resurgence to the year after the departure of Joe Girardi. They are a solid team, but I think we will start to see some regression back to the mean as the initial boost of a new coach wears off.

The Braves are coming off a crazy game last night, losing 10-12 to the Giants. Atlanta headed into game as big favorites and blew the game after their starter had a terrible outing. With that said, they're having a great year and are 7-3 in the last 10. Starter Charlie Morton is a year older and is a little less effective. But he did have a nice showing his last time out, but his team couldn't give him any run support. I think Atlanta can get to Rodon early in the count today, and especially when SF brings in their pen.

This has been a fun series. The Brewers are coming two losses in a row after taking Game 1. The pitching matchup for me favors Milwaukee. For those who are new to following me, I'm low on Dakota as I don't think he's a pitcher that gets easy outs. He has really solid stuff, but it's hard for him to get that 3rd strike before the 4th ball. I think if he walks a ton of batters today, Milwaukee should have their way with him.

They are playing against a great team in the Mets, but I'm going to trust the spot here and back Miami at home. I think they will be able to keep the New York offense in check and get the W tonight.

Darvish is on the mound tonight for the Padres. These are the spots he does really well for his team, especially in the regular season. I think he'll be able to keep the Philadelphia line up in check. Additionally, coming off a loss I see San Diego getting Gibson early in this one. The Padres only have 3 run in the first 2 games, I see a big regression back to mean in today's game.
