Almost all books pay where the driver crosses the finish line in cup and F1. DQ’s an hour or two later for post-race inspection for minor infractions don’t get taken into account.

I have always graded as finish line results as I do grading most weeks immediately after the race and don't look at the Nascar site again until the following Friday. So if there has been a change this year than I never graded the change. I recall penalties but not dqs. Casino's are going to grade like this because payouts already happened and no way to get tickets back. I am seeing it both ways though online. Bol saying after inspections and others saying podium finish.

Because I had Denny, not really fair for me to decide since it isn't in my rules. Also, seeing it on the nascar standings is leaning me the other way because if I had graded 2 hours later I would have different results and it should not be that way. Also, this is a contest and not a bet. So if it were fantasy football than it would go by official results. If anyone has a graded ticket please let me know. I have a graded ticket from BAS on a Denny win that has been paid(friend sent me photo) but again this is not a bet. It is a contest. Nascar teams also have until tomorrow to fight the dq.

As far as I am concerned, I have to regrade the contest and go by Nascar.com because that is where I get my starting time and results from but nothing is official until tomorrows dq process is complete

It has a big impact on the 2nd half overall standings. A DQ helps you considerably in the overall race.

I play in 3-Buy In $$$ Nascar Fantasy Leagues. This is how they handle it :

Fresh Rubber Nascar League: (53 Players In It)- $100 Buy In...
The 18 and 11 were DQd in post race inspection. That will not affect our results. In our game both Hamlin and Busch will be scored with the stage and finishing points they were credited with at the conclusion of the race. (just as we credited Keselowski with his stage and finishing points earlier this year at Atlanta where he received a 100 pt penalty)
Outside of the race penalties, such as those given for problems in post race inspection, do not count in our league...only in-race penalties, such as scored as last on lead lap for going under the double yellow to make a pass, count. We have selected the option with Fanstar not to apply penalties.

But the #11 and #18 were DQed and Elliott declared the winner.

WILL NOT effect our game standings.
Unofficial order of finish is what we use in the game.

I USED to used "adjusted standings" but when NASCAR got to taking cars back to R&D and the results would change on Wednesday or Thursday; we swapped to race finishing order.
It was just too much of a headache having to go back and change everything.

SO we score as if the race finish was OK.
Just wanted folks to know so when the results are posted they will know what is going on.

The 11 and the 18 got disqualified but we do not adjust because of post race inspections/deductions, I sent that it in an earlier email this season

Our winner is still the 11 and points will be how they finished the race as if there were no penalties

I still say podium finish is the best way to grade this. That’s the way the majority of the books do it.

Correct, as I have ALWAYS used nascar,com for standings at MY time of grading and than do not look again until next week's race practice times but that don't make it right. I just want if fair and want to hear from everyone not just those that had Hamlin since this has never happened to the top 2 finishers and when it happened at different races to middle of the pack/unheard of changes, I NEVER made those changes.

We have proof of fantasy with podium results(which shocks me because I would think they would count the DQ which is what i was ready to do). I have a paid ticket from BAS on Hamlin but other books say they go by official results.

Non-Hamlin guys please speak up. I am fully ready to give myself the the #35 place finish regardless just because If 1 person did not agree with the decision we make it would be 1 to many for me. I am also fine with a decision to give those posters with hamlin and busch a 35,36 and letting them re-use them. That might be the fairest.

BetOnline paid bets off and counted the DQs.

There were 4 posters that did not have one of these two drivers (Tanko, Bondguy, Bobby, RRsilver). All would be impacted if we used podium instead of Nascar official results.

Everyone else had one of the drivers so obviously they would be impacted too.

I have a dog in this hunt since if the drivers are DQ'd, I move up into the money this week.

Books I know that let the 11 and 18 stand and graded Hamlin the winner are BAS, BetMGM, FDDK actually paid both winners in a publicity stunt. Lol.

I do know from years of F1 betting that books have almost always graded as “podium finish” or how they crossed the finished the line.

Pretty much everyone who has made a case for 11 and 18 results to stand had one of them. The others who have mentioned the DQ’s or seem to make a case for them didn’t have the 11 or 18 as Tank said.

I won’t get into the money this week either way but it obviously would affect weekly money as well as overall standings

No one’s going to be completely happy here. Since this is so wild and no one could have seen it coming (last time this happened in NASCAR was 1960), one thing I thought of was what if we just made this a bye week for everyone? Which would mean everyone that played the whole second-half contest would have two byes, one for POCONO and another of their choice?? Maybe just double up the POCONO weekly $ on Daytona or something big.
