It really sounds like something they did intentionally. Glad they got caught.

"The added pieces were 2 inches wide and 5.5 inches long with a thickness of 0.012 inches and installed under the wrap. This change in our build process was not properly vetted within our organization and we recognize it is against NASCAR's rules. We apologize to everyone for this mistake, and we have made changes to our procedures to ensure that it does not happen again."

The strips were about the size of a smartphone in surface area and half the thickness of a typical driver's license.

Tuesday still has his bye but has a screw up earlier in year that may cost him even with some incredibly low scores. Bond guy will have to have bad luck not to finish 2nd. The race is on for 3rd and really tight with EM needing his bye like Tuesday. gL!!

just post bye week or don't pick. either way it is the last 3 spots. today race would have been bad as there was 38 cars. Sometimes Daytona has 40 so I wouldn't wait for the last week

So...don't use the bye when less cars...or don't wait for Daytona to use the bye...? Sounds like I should specify which week I use the bye instead of just deducting worst week...

He is saying use your bye on a week with fewer cars so your points are less for that week.

My understanding is that Enikk will add up all 13 weeks (your 12 scores plus the points for the last 3 finishers on the bye week).
