Well that's more like it! Glad I didn't jinx myself the whole way, W, W, W today, thought Blue Jays bet was doomed when it was at 8 runs after 3.5 innings!

Done my needed 15 plays, so probably won't press my luck further. Have a feeling if I do make it to next week might tank totally, 11 - 4 is rather a hard act to follow up! But hey, just pick what I think is good and hope for the best, not much else to do!

Well the Yankees game hasn't started so I can lock up a win by just making the same pick as sharpsquare huh?

Not going to do that (even if it's allowed) since that's not sporting imo. That said, is there some rule in place to prevent folks from doing cheesy things like that (i.e. just make same picks as the person you are competing with once you are ahead)?

I hope so - if I move on to the next round, I certainly don't want the person who I'm competing against to potentially do that very thing to me if they have the opportunity.

This is a little bit different competition than your typical contest best bet as it is match play. Do what you have to do to advance. There is a rule in place that you can't use the same or against team/total more than once per day or 3 times the whole week. The last 2 days of the competition it is encouraged to pm your picks than they are not posted until after post-time to prevent that. If you did not have 3 of the same/against picks and your opponent chose not to pm his picks than it was more than fair to do what you had to do to advance.

This would be like a match-play in golf and you can easily win with a 2 putt par but you decide to go out with a birdie but end up with a double bogey. You put yourself in the great shape you were in. You let yourself and your fans/gamblers down by not taking the guaranteed win.

Agree that it would be dirty in any other contest and why rules are always in place for it not to happen including this one.

appreciate the consideration. shoe on the other foot I would never have done that either. I rather lose than win that way no matter what rule is or is not in place.

I don't like my side and I think you are going to likely prevail and move on. some great handicapping and a worthy win for either side here.

PM picks to me or if playing me than can PM to Genie/BobbyFK/Wags or if you don't trust us staff than an honorable guy like Tanko or Capitalist Pig.

Rules are setup to prevent fading/same plays. I encourage everyone to turn in the last 2 days that way you get the plays you wanted. You have to take into consideration that there is also a strategy in posting the plays 1st so your opponent WON'T be able to use them. This is match play. Totally different contest and if you are not seeing the advantages of posting the plays than you are not thinking of all the strategies. Your not only usually getting a better line but forcing your opponent to do something outside their norm.
