Fly, is 2D2N enough time see the major attractions in Da Lat? Most travellers seem to recommend 3 days, but I'd rather spend an extra day in Nha Trang as I prefer the beach.

There are much better places than Nha Trang if you like the beach. I can give you some great places to go see. You must be going with your wife I would assume? I would not want to go to Đà Lạt for 3 days, way too long in that city. Lots of better options for places to see than stay there for 3 days.

Sure, which beaches would you recommend? It's a solo trip, but I'll most likely be going to Nha Trang with a girl. I considered Phu Quoc, but wanted to see Nha Trang first as I've never been there. I've already visited Danang/Hoi An six years ago... that's why I decided on Nha Trang, but I know it's full of Chinese tourists and Russian locals.

I wanted to reach out and potentially meet you, even though I'm mostly a lurker here, but I'll only be in Southern Vietnam this trip.

I stayed on Karon Beach multiple times while in Phuket. It's not all that great. Mostly empty.

Patong Beach was a lot better and that's just down the road. It's in a semi-circular bay. It's where the tourist area is which is nice because there's all sorts of activities going on like jet skiing, parasailing, and all the shops and restaurants.

Plenty of other nice beaches in Thailand like Maya Bay located on Ko Phi Phi Leh Island and Krabi Beach to name a couple.
