I will be at the National convention all 5 days next week. I flew back from Viet Nam to go to this. Look at the autograph signers going to be there. It is unreal.

Tons of NBA. NFL, MLB, UFC and lots of other stars

I would love to have Shohei there to sign my PSA10 rookie card I have. That would make it worth thousands of dollars more.

Saw their post this morning.

Very familiar - it’s about 30 minutes from me - Cleveland/Akron burb.

Smallish town - but very busy little shop that does a pretty brisk business both in store and online. Glad to see an in person customer hit it. But the amount of these new chase cards - I have no interest and feels again like people gambling buying packs.
I used to live near there when I taught at Kent State. I lived in Kent and when I drove to Akron to go to places they didn't have in Kent like BestBuy I would drive though Cuyahoga Falls. It's a real nice little city. At least it was when I was there a couple decades ago.

fly, do you have one of these?

Signed 1-of-1 Caitlin Clark rookie card sells for $660,000

An autographed Caitlin Clark Logowoman rookie card sold for $660,000 (including buyer's premium) at auction Thursday night, nearly doubling the record paid for a women's card.

The 1-of-1 numbered, autographed 2024 Panini Instant Rookie Royalty WNBA Flawless Platinum Caitlin Clark Logowoman card was pulled live on online shopping marketplace Whatnot three weeks ago. Ungraded but sealed and encased by Panini, it went straight to auction at Fanatics Collect.

The previous record for a women's sports card was $366,000 (including buyer's premium) for Clark's 2024 Panini Prizm WNBA Signatures Gold Vinyl Prizm card, which was sold at Goldin Auctions in March. That card was also numbered 1-of-1 and received twin perfect 10 card and autograph grades from Professional Sports Authenticator.

Lived out in Streetsboro for about 5 years. Yea, Cuyahoga Falls is a nice place - unlike Akron.

Kent remains a nice little college town for the most part - some shittier neighborhoods, but nice mix overall.

What kind of gradings do those cards get? I know it varies a bit but what's the highest grade card from those?

They get from Authentic ( the lowest ) to a 10, it just depends but the price difference is unreal to be honest. I will show you some examples

One of my favorite players to collect and he is baseballs first major star.

Here is an amazing SGC 7 Cap Anson, N162, Goodwin, with BP, 41k
Same card but in an "Authentic

SGC 1 12K

Then this is a real gem here, an amazing card
N172 Old Judge Cap Anson SGC 60, they are asking 35k
A PSA 1 if you can even find one

ven low-grade copies have fetched $50,00
of him in a uniform, there are different versions of this card . the one in the uniform is very difficult
the one here, he is not in uniform. The brunners bread is my favorite all time set, very fun cards
