That sounds amazing man. You remind me of the time when my sister had a property in Washington state between Spokane and Seattle not far from the Canadian border. Anyways you were talking about the water tasting so good that you drank. Well I never knew that water actually could taste different. So I turned on her sink water and it was freezing cold. So I ask her why is the water so cold she says I have a well and it's drilled straight into the mountains that's mountain water brother. Needless to say I was so impressed by the difference I drank a shit load of that water.

So during my stay in this town, I asked the locals about the fountains on the pathway of the hanging gardens.

I asked them where does the water come from?

They told me the Romans built an underground aqueduct from mountain the town was on.



Can you imagine? 2000 year old underground acqueduct still working perfectly?

Blew my fukkin mind out of the water.

But they built roads from back then that are still in use there.

Never seen anything like it.

Rome is basically a miracle in itself.

It's the only place on earth, that has 4 different time periods in one place.

So, you have ancient Rome, then modern Rome, then you have Renaissance Rome, and then Baroque Rome.

The only place in existence with this.

They are two of the most beautiful states in the country. Add Wyoming to the list.

One of my favourite places in all of Italy. A true hidden gem no tourists know about. I present to you the town of Montenero Di Bisaccia. I try to get there on every visit.

These days - I don’t know. I’m happy at home I guess…years of traveling for work and then taking a week long cruise a couple of times a year for “vacation” finally wore me down to the point I don’t want to travel. I hate flying and hate crowds.

I guess I’d like to see Ireland/Scotland again - London was nice. French Riveria was beautiful too - but when I was there I was young, broke and single - can’t just pick up and go to Europe for 3 months like those days.

Italy - I have no desire at all to go back. Especially in August when the damn country goes on vacation. Was over there in ‘98 during World Cup - keep in mind I knew shit about soccer. Had gotten into a fight with my traveling companion - had a few and passed out on a train that evidently was going to Italy. Anyway - I’m peacefully sleeping it off when this local decided to see if there was anything in my backpack of interest. Felt him reaching around my leg and as he went in to slowly remove the strap - thinking I was asleep - I grabbed him in a headlock and introduced him to the wall of the car.

He bounced back up like he was going to fight me saying Americano Muhammad Ali or some shit - I smiled and just laid him out with a punch. Next thing I know I’ve got 2 guards grabbing me from behind. Took me into custody and I explained it was an attempted pickpocket and I was doing them a favor - but they didn’t seem too thankful for the assistance. Ultimately a wad full of euros and showing them I had a ticket back to France and would be leaving their shithole of a country as fast as I could seemed to solve the issue. Never realized how lucky I was to have been able to get out of there until a week or so later - literally had no one to call, could barely understand the most basic parts of the language and began to find out how crooked the police were - especially with young dumb American tourist who were easy marks.
