2-1 day yesterday as Kansas rolled and Portland wins in OT. Probably shouldn't have played the under in an Atlanta game as that one went way over but I can't complain about a winning day. Scanning the card now for some more winners hopefully I keep my hot start to February going.

Was torn on the St. John/Marquette game. My stats say St. Johns by 4 but I can't see it happening. Was going to flip to Marquette but held up due to the poor play vs Uconn last outing.
What are you seeing in that game that made you pick Marquette?
I took Marquette because they're coming off that tough loss to UCONN. I think they play better tonight at the Garden and overcome their deficiencies in the paint with their three point shooting. It will be a close game imo so taking the points seemed like the move here.
Can't figure out that Cavs game but I think you're on right side.
It's tough but the Celtics haven't really been a great cover team this year so I don't really like taking them. Also I think this game means more to the Cavs then it does to the Celts because they want to prove that they're the best team in the East. I think they come out here and make a statement while the Celtics sort of play like this is a meaningless regular season game. If this were the playoffs I'd probably lean Celtics because I think that's when the Celtics will flip that switch and play with more intensity.
Tough 0-3 day so I'll try to bounce back tomorrow on a bigger NBA slate and of course more college hoops to try and find some winners on.

I can't believe Cleveland lost, especially at home.
Boston gets up for the elite teams but seems to play with their food when they play the weaker teams. Probably why they're such a poor ATS team but obviously still the team everybody needs to beat come playoff time.
Well just as soon as I got a little streak going I've now lost my last 6 plays as I went 0-3 again today. Wemby missed going over by 1 point and it looked like at halftime of the Tennessee game that my under was in good shape but then UT couldn't miss in the second half en route to winning a shootout. Just a weird day hopefully I turn it around with the Super Bowl around the corner.

Also guys I've decided that after Super Bowl Sunday I will be making a new thread with all my plays and retiring this thread. Of course I will carry over my YTD record in NCAAB and NBA over to the new thread and keeping track of my 2025 baseball season when that starts as well as continuing my daily grind with the hoops action. I just think with a new season about to start in March it's time to start a new thread.

I have a laundry list of plays for the Super Bowl so I'll try to keep this write up short and sweet as to my reasoning for the plays I made. First I took the Chiefs to win the game. Patrick Mahomes is 16-0 as a favorite this year and my guess is unless something drastic happens between now and game time he'll go off as a favorite. Tough to bet against him and Reid in the big game and he's 81% lifetime as a favorite so I'm backing the Chiefs with my money.
I think if you bet MVP in this game there are two logical players to bet on and those are Patrick Mahomes and Saquon Barkley. I think if the Chiefs win it's largely going to be due to the play of Patrick Mahomes so they'll give him the MVP even if someone else also has a big game. They just tend to be biased towards the QB when handing out this award and Mahomes is plus money to get the award so sign me up. The other guy I bet is Saquon Barkley who I think will have a big game here and if the Eagles win he will largely carry them to victory like he's done all year so I took a stab on him at +245.
I like the Eagles offense in this game to at least move the ball against this Chiefs defense once they get going because to me the Chiefs defense has shown weakness at times this year and I don't think it's that unlikely that the Eagles score 24 or more points here with as good as they looked on offense in that NFC title game. That's also why I took AJ Brown over his receiving yards prop because he looks healthy now and I think they're going to have to get him involved in the passing game when they're not pounding the rock with Saquon.
So full disclosure I had a free play at Heritage thanks to placing in their Race to the Super Bowl free weekly contest they do every year and I could only play the side or the total so I took the over 48.5. For the purposes of this thread I won't be counting that play against my record win or lose since it's a free play but I'll just hope it cashes. Anyway, I said that only because I do think this game starts slow as the teams feel each other out which is my angle for the first half under. I think both offenses get going in the second half and this game goes over the total in the 4th Quarter probably.
I do like the kickers in this game and I think they'll get plenty of chances because it's a dome Stadium so they ought to be able to make their kicks. I like at least more than 1.5 field goals for Butker since he's so reliable and I do think 47.5 is a low enough number for the longest field goal prop so i took the over at plus money because with no weather to worry about I think they ought to be able to boot a long field goal and they'll get their opportunities.
