Awesome Djefferis.Home and doing well.
Can finally eat something - food was HORRIBLE.
Next follow up Friday with Dr - but considering what I’ve been through - pretty damn quick bounce back. No pain - feel like I could literally return to my day to day right now. Of course need to take it slow - probably a month from driving and 6-8 weeks from return to work which is driving me nuts. At least I get decent disability from work.
Appreciate all the support from BMR and plan on doing a little something as a thank you at some point here.
Said it before and will repeat - don’t F around with your health and don’t forget there are more important things than work and money. No one will ever remember that time you showed up to work - but you’ll never forget that day you took off to spend time with a loved one or to just go to the track or went fishing.
This is a great update, DJ.Home and doing well.

Or do a regular checkup just to be sure.Like I said - I as fat and out of shape, won’t deny it.
That said likely had less to do with this than you might think. I’m not a big fast food guy, and this blockage didn’t happen in a day/week/year.
Had a family member 20 years ago go through this around same age - avid runner/pickup basketball player and skinny as hell. Speaking with a former HS classmate - similar story to mine 3 years ago - except he’s in good shape - works out and lifts regularly.
Alot of it’s unfortunately genetics/heredity. If you have parents / grand parents with heart issues - don’t mess around.
Bible calls dead-beat dads infidelsIf your kid is sick and you don't know and aren't there you are an absolute piece of fukking TRASH.
Don't let work push to get you back early. That can cause more problems.Continuing to do well - just now a matter of reminding my brain I need to go slow. Still think I’m “normal” at times and then it hits me I’m tired.
Made mistake of reading reports from hospital yesterday - didn’t realize how damn close I cut things. Thought they put off surgery because I was non emergency- more a case of them trying to get me better because i was so weak. Whatever - it worked as recovery has been a breeze so far.
Just now a game of figuring out rehab and dealing with my disability coverage. Have good coverage but feels like they are pushing to return end of month if not sooner - dr is saying more like 3-6 months and maybe. I’m onboard with docs plan - lets me concentrate on football distraction free.
Reminds me of this quote.Don't let work push to get you back early. That can cause more problems.
Been there. Done that... not with heart surgery but surgically rebuild ankle.
Doctor said 2 months, work said 2 weeks. The stupid dedicated idiot that I am went back after two weeks and ankle never healed properly.
Take your time. Its obviously serious and you need to heal.
