***1st Umpire Over is ️Mets/Orioles Over 8.5 with Marvin Hudson who avg 9.6 runs and is 13-6 Over. Both teams have been scoring well since the ASB with the Orioles averaging 5.38 runs per game and the Mets 4.41 runs. The starter for the O's should give up at least his avg to the mets tonight as he is 0-2, 8.16 ERA in 3 Starts. The over is 3-0 in his start, and is on a 21-9 tear for Balty, while the mets are 6-2 over last 8. Both bullpens have struggled lately with the Mets at 18th with a 4.14 ERA and O's at 14th with a near 4 ERA, so runs should be scored throughout.

***2nd Umpire Over is ️Pittsburgh/Texas Over 8.5-115 with Adrian Johnson who is 15-7 Over on a very high 11 runs per with a very low 2.06 SO/BB W/63% strikes. Both teams avg over 4 runs in August with Rangers at 4.44 runs and Pirates at 4 runs in their last 15 games. Ortiz carries a 6.33 ERA his last 4 while Dunning just got shelled for 5 runs in 4 IP vs Boston. The Over is 14-6 for Pitt and 17-7 for Texas so runs will be scored especially with a very helpful umpire. I was on the fence before having this game right at 9 runs but could see an added 1-2 runs thanks to AJ. It is a top play.

Texas also changed from Urena to Dunning so I had to go back and do this again...

***3rd Umpire Over is Chicago/SF Over 7.5-120 with Andy "Rainmaker" Fletcher. 21-3 Over, 13 runs a game. I had this game getting to the total but Andy fletcher is working. Nuff said, he is the master of squeezing out 1, 2, or 8 more runs.

While I am big on Astros tonight, I think Boston has the opportunity to easily hit their average of 5 runs per game which is 4th in MLB. Interestingly, Kikuchi has given up 5 to these red sox in each of his last 3 starts against Boston, and carries a bad 6.75 in six starts vs Boston. He has been great for Houston in 3 starts with a 2.7 ERA but he's due for some regression and this is a team familiar with his pitches. This feels like a 8-6 type Astros win, or if Boston wins, its a bit of insurance if its a high scoring game as most indications point to.

Yes, I'm talking about from the umpire standpoint, as the new guy in Texas game was not a hitter ump. It still counts as an L in my bets and the overall W-L. Unfortunately, they switched from Johnson to John Bacon right before the first pitch, who is a notorious pitchers ump, so he would not have qualified for the umpire criteria. The other 2 games also switched but the ump situation was similar from the switch to the new ump as it stayed with a hitter-friendly ump (both over 9 runs, good metrics, etc), only the texas game switched to a pitcher ump. There was a situation a few weeks ago which was similar switched from hitter ump to pitcher and it cashed but didnt qualify for the over based on the umpire after the switch so i didnt count that W. The Texas over still counts and marked as an L in the 15-7 today, and a loss in the top plays. GL
