You get what you pay for when you pay an overnight guard $17.50/hr in a high end corporate office building. I was the only 1 still remaining from 2 yrs ago when I was hired since everyone else either quit or basically let themselves get fired. Won't even allow myself to be transferred to a new site. I'll go on UI the rest of the yr & see where I'm at bankroll wise early next yr to assess my options.

Not official but it sounds like a done deal Sam. They did the same thing to that guy Chris last month keeping him on an extra 2 wks until they trained his replacement. Took this text at face value yesterday removing me from an OT site on Sun thereby reducing my hrs from 56 to 48 which I was fine with. Perry after showing me that email this morning told me they're both connected.

Not necessarily. Similar situation 3 yrs ago with a different security company. Told them to fire me instead of reassignment which they graciously did. Got the full 6 months with the $300 wkly Covid boost for $784/wk. Only wish it happened sooner when the boost was $600/wk. Feel free to call me a deadbeat all you want but UE is something my taxes go into so I have no problem using it to my benefit if necessary.

Pretty sure this is the most +EV decision you can make in this situation. This is how you end up hitting your jackpot - working a 9 to 5 long enough to give yourself enough chances to win a mil (or five).
