Didn't they get rid of most of the Chinese there after the war? I've worked with 2 types of former Vietnamese here in the US: ethnic Chinese and relatives of South Vietnamese army officials.
Vietnamese people that live in America are extremely different than the ones here. There are Chinese people living and working here. Not many though, there are tons of Koreans here, they are working at the Samsung and Apple factories.
