carolinakid and I have been talking hockey in my MLB thread and he's been making some great picks in his daily pick threads so I thought I would start a hockey thread of my own here.

Anyone, feel free to make your own picks and feel free to post news, start discussions, whatever. I'll be making daily picks in this thread and generally talking about all things ice.

Starts at 9:30am Eastern/6:30 am Pacific on Friday the 13th.

Hockey World Cup
Latvia +1 1/2 -127 over US

Sometimes I'll give reasons for my picks. Other times not.

Well that Latvia pick didn't turn out well. The US got 3 early goals and it was over at that point. That happens in hockey sometimes.

Looking at possibly taking the Stockton Heat (AHL) later today but have not made a decision yet. They are only on my radar for now.
