Do you know if there’s current casino deals with the tribes there which might be similar to FL, in which the state has no choice ?

Also is there a dominant tribe there who would run the show or all of them together?

not that i have heard of. there are some that run upstate casinos.

we could use a nice casino resort in nyc. a real classy place. i know there were talks to be in manhattan or near citifield. by citifield would be good for a big space. it would be nice to not have to always drive a few hours for a resort. right now i can drive to a few local places that have electronic gaming only, no live tables, and one has a hotel. they are building that hotel up and expanding. it is about an hour away on LI.

In California, there is no main tribe but collective of tribes which the state government signed compacts w/ the tribes that allow them to operate casinos. State would dictates what is allowed in gaming. For instanct, they are allowed all the games except "games of chance" such as craps and roulette (though there are some horrible cards versions of them).

I think the compacts run about 10 years. Last time when I was following the gambling laws was when we had two props up for election, which both failed, I believe there were about 50+ tribes. So we have a bunch of small tribes that run their own casinos but they do get together as a very powerful lobby group. They are powerful enough to fend off the big boys of FD and DK from winning the sports betting prop. But they also failed with their own prop to allow sports betting at their casinos so not completely all powerful.
