Favorite rapper in the group, ODB, is dead and the rest collects SSN. This is so unnecessary.

Heard a new song from Snoop and it wasn’t dog shit but it wasn’t necessary to release any new material either. These old rappers need to learn to venture out with new projects and stick with it and leave the past for memories. Or have residency in Vegas with other retirees and rap to the degens every weekend at the Sphere.

It’s different when you play an instrument, you can get away with it more compared to a rapper which his sound is 100% coming from his flow & energy. Although I will say Guns & Roses are terrible live these days went to a concert recently & I was very disappointed. My friend though loves them unconditionally so “love is always blind“.

There are guys who have learned to do what they do at their advanced age - and do it well.

In general - it takes a certain type of musician to start with though.

Willie Nelson can do it - short sets, laid back audience and everyone’s just happy he’s still breathing. He surrounds himself with a lot of talent giving people who can’t sellout amphitheaters themselves a chance to play to 15-20k a night with his outlaw music festival.

Springsteen does a good job of it too - again - not screaming his head off - just a nice evening of storytelling.

The ones who embarrass themselves try to act like they are 25 again in their 60s. Your not young, you can’t bring that energy night in and night out like you used to and most of all can’t do it from a 0-100 like you could when you were in your prime. Signing is hard and power vocals are best left to the under 30 crowd. Hell - some guys struggled with this at their peak - age was not kind to them.

ODB was awesome, cool guy too. Met up with him in Los Angeles.

One of my clips is from ODB…. Who gives a f*** about giving back to the community. Need to start asking that to your politicians.
