But that will happen anyway.No. Because it's going to be torture to see all your loved ones die.
Why die?

There's no more reason to be alive once all your loved ones are dead. Every day, you will wake up with the question, "What Do You Wake Up For?"“Gold has value because it’s rare. Life has value because it’s short. Death gives life value.”

What?!
Life gives life value not death, Genie.
The immortals who are among us, do you think they would voluntarily give up their immortality?
Of course not, they wouldn't ever consider it. Wouldn't even be a thought in their heads.
So why should it be in ours?
Take the immortality.
Immortality will allow you to experience everything you like in the world. Like literally everything, and that eventually you will get to the point of feeling tired.. What are you gonna do when you're already tired?Hookers & Cocaine
The same thing I do now.Immortality will allow you to experience everything you like in the world. Like literally everything, and that eventually you will get to the point of feeling tired.. What are you gonna do when you're already tired?
And you're going to do this for eternity. Do you think you're not going to get tired? The same thing I do now.
Drink, gamble, and smoke cigars.
Compared to the alternative? And you're going to do this for eternity. Do you think you're not going to get tired?
If everyone was given the option, imagine how overpopulated planet Earth would be.
Haha, I don't know, Philly. We're just on different sides on this one. I'm not ready for an afterlife talk, but one thing I'm sure of is that I don't want to live forever.Compared to the alternative?
Let me clue you in on the afterlife, sweetie.
The vast majority of humanity is going to burn in the fires of Hell forever.
That doesn't sound to me like all that much fun.
Would you rather be bored or burning forever?
What if your immortality starts at age 75? Would you still say yes to that?Imagine living forever, physically.
How would you cope?
You could any drug in any amount and not get sick. You could bang any disease ridden woman and it wouldn't matter.
Now imagine if it came with super mental abilities.
Like knowing the fukkin winner of any game before it's played.
Or being able to recognize the presence of other immortals immediately.
Imagine if you ran into a god?
What would you do or say?
They would be able to read your thoughts and you theirs.
You would have knowledge of every secret thing. The language of the animals, the secrets of nature, etc.
This is what Gilgamesh sought.
Of course. What if your immortality starts at age 75? Would you still say yes to that?
Pass - just back from a funeral yesterday.
Imagine just outliving every friend/family member you grew to love. I saw that yesterday in a dear friends eyes and its rough - being the last of the people you grew up with and having buried a spouse and children.
Reality is the immortals among us are still here. I ain't afraid.
There’s been at least 3 “Twilight Zones” dedicated to this - “living forever” - all end with disastrous results…..
