Plenty of posters have claimed Japan dominated Spain in their 4 - 0 win. To the victor go the spoils , and that game is now meaningless. Winning the group gave Japan a match against Norway , while 2nd place Spain will play lower ranked Switzerland,

The first 15 - 20 minutes of that game , Spain missed several easy scoring opportunities. Japan scored on a counter attack from an errand pass and a 2nd on a deflection......

Bottom line , the score was no way indicative of how the game played out. I'm guessing Spain will be chomping at the bit to showcase their worth against Switzerland

Franz, What's your opinion on US being favored over Sweden?

I'm leaning for a play on Sweden. Rose Lavelle seemed to be the only spark the US had in the prior games and with her out for this game, I'm seeing Sweden with a better shot than the odds show.

Im leaning to Sweden here. This should be a coin toss based on performances to date. The US side that played the 2nd half against Netherlands will win this game. The team that played the rest of the time , will lose to Sweden. Thats my take
