Obviously I was kinda harsh with that earlier thread but I felt it was my only recourse at the time but we're finally square. We've been in regular contact trying to work out a payment plan but he helped me out in a way that more than satisfied his original debt obligation. I was on serious tilt after losing 10k on a horrible Zverev s2 bet. I actually texted him for advice not even trusting myself & he strongly encouraged going HUGE on Tiafoe s2. Obv I'm the one risking all that money, but I seriously doubt I'd make that bet without his encouragement so that 17k I won back more than makes up for what he owed me.

Glad you have been squared away.

You gained something of value in a case where it was clear you were not likely to get any payment - bottom line that’s what matters. The fact that value was well in excess of what you were owed is just a nice little bonus.

So somebody owed you money and paid you back buy suggesting you bet big on a tennis player?

What if the play had lost?

Would he owe you even more money?

I get the sentiment here - but bottom line both parties are walking away happy with the result.

It’s not our debt - and everyone is hapoy. Sometimes it’s just better to be happy everyone else is satisfied and let it go.

Doesn’t always work out like this - as certain people on this forum can attest. No point in questioning “what if” because it didn’t turn out that way.

Yeah, whatever floats your boat. There is a huge point in questioning "what if" but it's ok to ignore what happened.

Dougy forgave the debt, period. Woj got away with one, period. I guess everyone is happy with the result.

:lmao:

@dougtushyterror get a load of Optional‘s response to this same exact thread. How does that dumb f*** not realize this debt is associated from over there not here.

Problem is if you start betting BIG your psychological approach might be a little different & you will lose. Just sharing an opinion from experience not stating a fact everybody is different.
