I just read a 30 page thread at the place across the street that described when a couple of posters met up in Vegas. They only knew each other on the forum and met for the first time there. It didn't go well.

They were complete opposites. One quiet/calm the other crazy/do anything kind of guy.

I'm thinking it was likely a one off incident. I would hope that most people can meet new people and act "normal".
