JDS,
Since 1980 I have kept a year end total for every sport or activity I wagered on. Prior to 1980, before I was married, I would estimate that I was down maybe 5k total. That was a lot more money then , than today. I say I lost that amount because I was learning and who wins while learning? Can’t fool yourself.
But since 1980, I broke out each sport and each yearly total. These were plays between 50- 200- 300. Obviously increasing as I got older and the value of money got weaker.
I don’t think it’s appropriate to post pics of my totals book but it ends up being wins, losses and totals for each year. With horses, just a running total per year. Have every play including 83-84 USFL , hot dog eating, academy awards, you name it. Total profit over 45 years? Let’s just say it was equal to a free lunch everyday since back then.
No big deal over that length of time but some free entertainment and plenty of memories with some of my best friends.
Magic moments and memories that too me are priceless.
Hopefully, anyone that reads this will realize that nothing is easy, especially gambling. Enjoy it, study it, and learn from it. It’s quite educational and the memories are free.
GL everyone.
