less thank 30 minutes ago I was contemplating 2 options:
1) going back to work after 14 months
2) suicide

There's no chance I'm ever going back to work so Michael Kym LITERALLY just saved my life by making a 16 foot par on 18 avoiding a 3 man playoff which I have 0 doubt he loses. He went from -320 to +110 after hitting his 1st on 18 into the bunker & I'm thinking I JUST LOST EVERYTHING. Didn't even see the par on 18 but noticed the odds were off the board 10 minutes later thinking the worst & then seeing he holed it in the live scoring app. I was somewhat on tilt after yesterday losing 13k & actually reloading 10k to get back to 90k so only winning 28k doesn't get me anywhere close to where I was but at least I could WD a decent amount & still have 100k left.

You are living on the edge Dougy, I knew this would formulate into a life or death situation if you end up losing it all. I get it though going back to work for you is like accepting a hell on earth existence. Although who knows if hell is in the cards for you after you die. The title of your biography should be called “All or nothing”, that’s pretty much the reality here and that’s why I worry about you when we don’t get your weekly updates.

wealth can not soley be the numbers we see in our investment portfolios, real estate estimates, crypto wallets, Bank accounts, leather wallet, piggy banks.

if we don't have the most important ingredients of wealth first and foremost. the numbers become the master and the human the slave

If this would've lost jerky, I'd have 10k to my name after having 394k combined in July. (full disclosure & the only thing I ever lied about is saying I have over 100k in BTC cold storage) That was the plan but I wound up reloading 90k last month after losing 60k on Coco Gauff in Cinci. Now I could at least WD 10k & get my HYSA back to 20k & have 108k at ESPN & not freak out about going under 100k if I lose my next bet.
Edit: I even gave this BTC plan a shot buying 10k in BTC last month but the fees were astronomical & when I cashed it out I lost $1500 only ending up with $8500. Just based on the fee structure on apps like Moonpay (banned on Coinbase where it's at least reasonable),I don't see how it would ever even be feasible to load up on BTC if I was in a more viable financial position like in July.

Yeah don’t worry about that btc cold storage idea. Didn’t really think that would last anyway, because your bankroll is your lifeline and if it’s in BTC like you said, the fees are gonna kill you transferring back-and-forth. I really hope you can figure this out and get to a new peak of your balance. Once again as we all know here it will not be easy.

ESPN has insanely high limits. 80k live max win even on the DP Tour. What I should've done was bet 80k live on Kim at 17 when he was Even money right before a 7 foot birdie that I figured he'd make & then shot up to -320 going into 18 up 1 when I pulled the trigger. Took a shot on Korda at 40-1 using my BB but it was voided since they're not even gonna play 54 holes with the multiple rain delays.

Much appreciated jerky. BTC price is pretty much where it was last month but that's not the issue. I would legit do this even if I still had as little as 100k in Wealthfront but there's no viable way to buy it without getting killed in fees hoping the gains in BTC at least cover them. At least when I'd use a BTC 🏧 to reload offshore in 2021 to Bookmaker, they'd at least cover the fees. Certainly not the case when buying for personal storage

@dougtushyterror i was going to mention a thought I had.

You know if you take $100k and divide it by two bets you could bet:

Iga to win FO/Sinner to win FO
Iga to win FO/Alcaraz to win FO

For $50k each and just live off your $18k till the tourney.

Either of the above scenarios happen and you’re right about to tour $375-400k you were at a few months ago.

I know @dougtushyterror gonna do what @dougtushyterror gonna do and I root like hell for him.

But a plan like that that has a realistic shot seems a lot more do-able than risking $90k on a random to win on the god damn DP Tour buddy.

Around 129k combined

Somewhat on tilt after yesterday losing over 13k just needing 2 big faves just to win 1 fukking set. Knew I should've slammed Iga today vs Drova once it got to a s2 TB & same with Med: once he choked s2 serving for the match, he was obv losing s3. Passing on those made me compelled to do something BIG. Luckily it worked out this time but I can't keep doing this after losing practically everything in my HYSA

Somewhat on tilt

Can’t keep doing this

Dougy I play at a much lower level than you obviously but one thing that really helped me is when I lose you have to let that money go. It’s gone.

You’ll eventually end up broke chasing these losses.

You still have a lot of money built up over the last couple of years. It would be a shame to see it all go away.

In all fairness Jay, Kim is actually decent & I knew a par on 18 would've won it but that was always the risk & why he was only -320 instead of -700 which most golfers are up 1 going into the last hole: 18 is the toughest hole on the course

Screenshot_20250921_122047_Samsung Internet.jpg

The plan all along was to try to win 20k & WD 10k too be at 100k/20k HYSA. Before the golf bet these were the 2 bets I was gonna make. Think the Jets keep it close & really like HOU to avoid going 0-3 after getting a couple of WRs back (Christian Kirk & Berrios). As of now, I'm actually planning on taking the rest of the day off & starting back up tmrw. Would really hate to give back this 28k doing something stupid today.
Edit: Now watch both these bets hit after I pass up on them & go on tilt tmrw for missing out on another 20k

Well said Jay so I settled on a 15k WD. This at least gets me to 25k in HYSA while leaving 103k at ESPN. Only thing I'm worried about is them decreasing my limits. Hasn't happened yet but it's just a matter of time constantly WD large amounts

Ever think about reversing it? 103k in HYSA and the $15k in ESPN?

That way lesser chance of risking almost all?
