Spin:As anticipated, Acuna will put an end to his five-game absence and slot back into his normal spot in the Atlanta lineup, albeit in a non-defensive role. Atlanta could be inclined to deploy Acuna more frequently at DH more the next few days while he looks to move past the sore left groin, but playing through the lower-body injury shouldn't necessarily limit his involvement on the basepaths. After returning from the injured list in late April following a prolonged recovery from the ACL surgery he underwent last July, Acuna proceeded to go 5-for-5 on stolen-base attempts in his first 10 games with Atlanta before the groin issue forced him to the bench over the last several days.

Spinrevious reports indicated that Correa would return from the injured list to play Tuesday, but if that happens, it would be in a bench role, which seems unlikely. The Twins do still believe he could return this series, per MLB.com, which would make Wednesday his new expected return date, as the team has an off day Thursday before traveling to Kansas City on Friday. Royce Lewis will get at least one more start at shortstop as a result.

TUE, MAY 17, 11:09 AM Buxton is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Athletics. Spino-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reported Sunday that Buxton is continuing to a manage knee issues, and while he was able to play all nine innings of Monday's 3-1 win, the outfielder will get some maintenance for the second game of the series. Provided he isn't dealing with any sort of setback with either of his knees coming out of Monday's start, Buxton should be back in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale.

Spin:Adames sat out Monday's 1-0 win with the left ankle sprain, an injury that previously forced him out of Sunday's 7-3 victory over the Marlins. Though he'll give way to Luis Urias at shortstop for the second day in a row, Adames showed enough improvement upon reporting to the ballpark Tuesday for the Brewers to push back an IL decision until Wednesday, according to Stearns. That being said, Stearns noted that a trip to the IL is "still on the table" for Adames, who may need to resume baseball activities in some capacity Wednesday to avoid being deactivated for at least the next week.
