Hockey got wrong the teams that it wants to win.

These games are all fixed.

NHL draft lottery is fixed.

NHL favours shit teams over traditionally meaningful ones.

They hate the Flyers always but the Flyers saved the league in the 70s.

Biggest attraction around were the Broad Street Bullies.

NHL fixed many games against the Flyers because of their hatred including more than a couple of draft lotteries.

Tend to agree there - if you want to talk about “saving” hockey - it’s Gretzky.

Don’t get me wrong - Flyers of the era a great team - but Gretzky made people watch hockey. Mario and the pens came on later and kept things interesting - but Gretzky was on the level of MJ, Tiger and Montana in their prime - non fans watched them to see greatness in action.

Everything's gotten better. You think refs are bad now you should have seen it before replays. Also need K Zone to call balls and strikes in MLB. The Home plate umpire wears an earpiece and gets the signal from above..worked great when they tested in the minors.
Many more improvements to mention like the 2 point conversion, etc....

My three faves changed for the worst.

College Hoops with the 30 shot clock, video reviews, and flagrant fouls.

College Football with the kickoff/touchback rules, video reviews, roughing penalties.

Horse Racing with the CAWS, last second odds drops, Belmont refurb, channel roulette on big days, obvious juicers running wild.

I left off NIL. Wreaking havoc in college sports.

Rest of sports being destroyed by minorities & catering to an audience of poor, uneducated blacks. How many Sprite & Fanta ads can one guy watch. Just look at the advertising & It'll tell you all you need to know.

I saw more ads for Uber Eats, fast food & Vegas/ gambling than I did for cars/ trucks, Budweiser or insurance tonite.
