I'm looking for people's opinion on what they feel is a good ROI for long-term sports betting. I've read some articles and quite a few refer to an ROI of ~3% over 1000 bets would make you an average winning sports bettor. If you hit ~5% ROI they say you're one of the best.
Does that seem reasonable?
Now, just because you've had a recent run of 21-5 on your plays, doesn't mean you're a savant nor does it mean you will continue at that pace. I'm talking aboue long-term ROI on sports betting.
What's your opinion on a good ROI?
I realize I'll get a lot of responses that "No one wins so ROI is 0%". But, I'd like to know what you think is a good ROI for a professional sports gambler. Please don't just give a number, explain why you think that is a good number.
