Long term - what’s the hardest for you to make $$ at.

For me - it’s horses and NHL.

Horses obvious - there’s a large takeout (relative to sports) and you’re betting against multiple others - not just a single team/player.

NHL is a lot like baseball - high money lines but half the games and more unpredictable.

Baseball is the easiest to make money at for me - but straight betting it’s tough. Lots of opportunities to scalp baseball games and totals.

Overall - it seems to be doable - just bet dogs and under - win 55% of your wagers on average.

This year - the season saw faves hit very consistently aside from a few weeks early and playoffs (always feels like between week 4-6 NFL - just when everyone thinks they know teams the dog's put together a massive week and crush square bettors.

NFL also sees more line moves than any other sport it seems - you can be on the same side as someone else but have a completely different number - which makes it hard. Getting the best possible number in football is always a challenge.

Got to agree NBA is up there - especially betting spreads/totals. Moneyline isn’t as bad - but one big upset and your scrambling for a week to make up the loss - easily.

I bet soccer and tennis just to keep up the action - never follow too closely. Rely on instinct and some very good cappers who pass out their opinions for my plays there.

Soccer is tough with the 3 way line.

Tennis is brutal if you bet live - way too big of jumps based on a point or two swing. Then factor in the chalky lines - I’d say unless you have a deep insight on players and can withstand the risk of betting players who are down in a match it’s hard to make money at. Seen way too many plays go from -1000 to even very quickly in that sport. Makes the cash out option essential to live tennis bets to me - sometimes it’s better to cash for a profit when you play a dog who gets a good start in the match then wait around and hope.
