At least some of us can say that we had the balls to shoot our shot, I would say most posters here will never know if they have what it takes.

Mink coat..I had one back in the day when I was big time
Walked all over Jazz clubs with it on, everyone knew I was big time
The greatest feeling in the world was when I had mink on with no clothes under it in a fukkin bar and like 10 guys asked me "Who do you like Mike"" "Who you on Mike?" I was that big and a few times when I met some black broads they knew I was nude under my mink and said I was sexy

Mathy..how about this

Prove you have
$50,000 Pinnacle
$50,000 Matchbook or BetFair

Never ever dreamed of going “pro”

As a gambler - being a pro is so much more glamorous in the movies than it is in real life. It’s assuring yourself a paycheck regularly - not when you get “lucky”. A lot like doing a sales job - it’s a money roller coaster often and it’s not a fun ride down.

Bookmaking as a pro is easier for the average person to do. Just need to know how to handle people and have that ability to be both likeable and tough at the same time. You want people to want to bet with you and feel comfortable- but also to worry just enough that they pay you every time they owe.

Neither is for me - hell, posting at BMR is exhausting most days - can’t imagine having to actually BET professionally.
