your not into gambling or sports if your not doing fantasy football drafts tomorrow.
Yep, i said that
I won’t be, but we all have our own avenue & form of gambling. It’s not so black & white as you described.

I’m noticing the Hawaii game has a slightly different camera angle than what we usually see lol. That game somewhat entertaining as well.

Pretty funny clip. Appropriate for opening week of Coll FB betting:

1) Penn St mop-up QB is in fact Mike McQueary.
2) Joe Paterno in fact shook his head, b/c McQueary audibled to a long pass that was supposed to be a shorter pass. Old-school coaches like Paterno and Lou Holtz went out of their way to NOT run up scores.
3) Graber is in fact pissed b/c PennSt ripped out their cover (+20 line, I think) with the garbage TD.

Almost getting there but really wanna watch that Hawaii game. Took Vandy and Nevada. Tar Heels stepped up in the second half but still managed to hit the +39.5 with Florida A&M after the Frost debacle and the W with Illinois....feeling like I need the last call

I would’ve broken my remote control for sure or a hole in the wall if I had Rutgers +20.

Jerky, I DID have a piece of Rutgers in that game. Listen to Gottfried on the call. He knew the #, it was either +20 or +21.

Rutgers played a very gutty game and stayed close. McQueary (who later became famous) was 3rd-team QB (I think) b4 starting later in his career.
Unreal Chucky fuckin’ unreal. 😒

Yes. That was one of my early lessons on just how hard it is to beat the #.

I think Paterno's reaction is relevant. The OLDER coaches really didn't like the late-game ATS shenanigans. And many coaches KNEW the # and cashing one in for the alumni.

Bill Snyder and Tom Osborne come to mind. Wow, they knew how to cover a #.

On the flip side, Holtz and Paterno didn't like to rub it into a coach...b/c they knew THEY might one day be on the flip side. I saw Holtz instruct RBs to run out of bounds when the game was close to the #. Holtz also took it easy on a re-born SMU program when he could have named the score.

Another game that comes to mind is 2001 opener Miami FL at Penn St. Canes were LOADED, actually had THREE future HOFers on the roster. Canes ran THROUGH Penn St for 2.5 quarters, then Larry Coker issued a gentleman's beating to Paterno by running ball into the line for last 1.5 quarters.

Yeah 2001 was the last year the Hurricanes won the National Championship. That 1st game 33-7 over Penn St. So they different cover that number even though they took off the gas pedal ?
