We should hold a JJ Gold appreciation day at BMR

As much as some of us openly mock JJ - we truly should hold a JJ appreciation day here at BMR. The man is a forum legend who has contributed more than anyone to the offshore forum landscape long term than anyone else.

Always full of insight - there are some nuggets to be found in there still.

Feels like 4/1 would be an appropriate day to celebrate the wisdom of JJ Gold, show our gratitude and remember some of the best advice he has given out on forums over the past decade plus. He may be a fool at times - but he’s our damn fool now and we need to show him some love for all the entertainment he has given us as well as the occasional sharp advice.

That’s kind of a slap in the face for you to say that. I feel like there’s a lot of winning going on around here and you’re not involved with it so you would have that perspective. Our regulars are growing each and every month, and we don’t show favoritism IMO to the old school guys. We just post more often, so it may look like that from afar.

Just shows how easy AI isn’t quite perfect yet not making connections.

Phrases like JJ and wisdom are red flags humans can’t overlook.

Great post, but I wouldn't say a "bunch" of people. If you really look at the posts and who is posting. There are not many posters here posting. I wish it was the opposite. I thought this place was going to do better at least during football season. It has not taken off like I thought. I really like this place, there are some cool people here, but the place is as dead as a doornail. I don't know if it will ever turn around. I hope it will though.

100% correct. Every forum needs some heels and some e-fights.
this place refuses to let it happen.
so it is a bunch of old guys sitting infront of their computers high fiving each other after winning a $5 bet.
