Smart sportsbooks use it as a marketing opportunity. They should have met Jerky in person with a giant check for 89k and done a photo shoot. Then posted the pics everywhere.

Yeah, they could’ve promoted this in a very positive way, but some asshole from that incorporation made a really dumb decision. The owner himself that I talked to even admits that. No names were mentioned.

Agree with the optics if it’s a legal book, but does JDS or WW really want their pic posted online for the whole world to see? I kinda doubt he wants the attention $89k in winnings from a illegal book paying in btc would bring from the irs, my guess is he isn’t paying taxes on it.

If I'm WagerWeb, I actually round it up to 100k but make sure JDS mentions me on social media, and makes a few public appearances to promote the brand.

This is better use of my money than taking his basketball bets lol
