Not sure if anyone was watching the Manning Cast but I enjoy them. Really good tonight in the fourth quarter with Randy Moss on.

Peyton, as I do, absolutely hates poor clock management (I had to suffer through multiple years when McCarthy was with the Cowboys as he’s the all time worst).

Peyton picked up on it right away how the Bears without a doubt should have kicked the ball out of bounds on the kickoff with 2:02 to play in the game - after they cut it to 27-24 with only one timeout left.

Vikings would have got the ball at the 40 but that extra two seconds would have served as an additional time out and the Bears would have been able to get the ball back if they held them with a little over a minute to play instead of with hardly any time at all left.

How an “offensive genius” like Ben Johnson didn’t pick up on this is beyond me. All the Vikings had to do was run the ball out the back of the end zone to bring it to the two minute warning (1:57) and the game was basically over.

We talk about this every year at all levels. Clock mgmt is so bad. OConnell screwed it up before HT. He let clock run all the way down to 28 secs. Minn could have had the ball back with over 1 min left.
