USFL weekend games

Wow. TB storms back with a TD. Completing a long drive with < 1 min left.

I can tell there isn't much interest in USFL on the board.

But, I see edges everywhere in this league. The lines are starting to catch up to performance so the edges may be tougher to find going forward.

So far I'm 15-7 on sides and total plays w/ 35% ROI. Hey, I'm not bragging. I'm not putting large bets down. I'm just pointing out there is money to be had on this league.

First time I've seen one of the more unusual USFL rules come into use...

After scoring a team has the option to keep the ball instead of kicking off by trying a 4th and 12 from their own 33. If they make a 1st down, they keep the ball. If they fail, the other team gets the ball wherever the play ends.

TB just tried it and the WR dropped the ball (would have been a 1st down). Philly Stars got the ball at about the TB 33 yd line.

Birmingham went over 38 easily and it looks like they will cover the -6.

Beware on Sunday games. The NJ Generals/Houston Gamblers total is 39.5. That seems about right. Not sure how much of an edge on the O/U there is to play.

I plan to look in more detail on those games mañana.
