At least they broke into my US Open Golf coverage with this a couple of minutes ago.

Good times.

Reminds me of the time NBC had live coverage of the president arriving in San Antonio during the first hour of the Indy 500.

Thankfully I discovered it was on Peacock.

Some of you guys probably don’t remember him but Spaun reminds me of Scott Simpson, who beat Tom Watson at Olympic Club to win a US Open one year.

Steady walk, seems like nothing bothers him, seems like he’s playing a Saturday morning group with his buddies, nice easy going nature.

The kind of demeanor you need at a US Open

Chasing my Thriston round leader loss yet again. Been burned with the walk off HR with the 👻 runner on before but luckily not today

Personally I'm a huge fan Jay. Spaun was nice enough to roll in that 25' par on 18 for me not to lose $18,750 on a DHR & then hit it into the water in the Monday playoff to Rory. Wasn't nearly as lucky with Cashmere Keith 3 wks later but that wasn't his fault. Sam Ryder randomly got unconscious on the last 7 holes. Then off to NJ for Gators bailout slips. Rooting for JJ tmrw. Never thought I'd type that sentence in this forum

Spaun hit one bad shot all day 18

People don’t try to be hero handicappers tomorrow, the course is gonna play softer, which makes it really hard for someone from the back of the pack to win
The 3 leaders are just driving the ball and hitting their irons better than everyone. It’s as simple as that

Problem is guys like JJ Spaun don’t win majors. Very little chance he wins tomorrow. Cream always rises to the top in majors. Scott masters winner with 20 top 10s in majors in his career and Burns is an upper echelon guy. Last guy to win a major that wasn’t top tier was Woodland. The big dogs always take down the majors. Burns and Scott both big dogs.
