Going to the Big 12 is pretty awesome. But it would be great if they bailed on that deal for the ACC or SEC, preferably the Sec of course.
Although the ACC would give the hoops program a big boost.
On the surface, it seems like FSU, Miami, Clemson etc would be targets. But when you research the ACC Grant of Rights clause, it could cost those schools between $100 million-$500 million to escape.
Shortens the odds of UCF getting an invite.
The NCAAssociation is fuked. SEC= Stable Every Contender. Bring all the potential frontrunner schools under one roof. You instantly control the rights to billions of $$$.
UCF has the second largest student body in the country. In the next 10-20 years, the nation will be flooded with UCF alumni. The time is now for the SEC to swoop in.
I don't see it. Maybe the ACC is possible after their Big 12 deal is finished, but if the SEC wants to expand beyond 16 teams I would think they'd go for a higher profile program.
But who? The ACC teams make the most sense, but there are huge payouts prohibiting. Who does that leave that’s more high profile than UCF right now?
Maybe ND, but the Big 10 or ACC seem like a better fit for them.
The leftover’s from the Big12?
None are higher profile in football than UCF right now.
The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. And rumors down here are that the UCF-Big 12 deal isn’t finalized yet.
