Someone in their Athletic Department's Promtions department has been doing too much meth.
No one at the game is going to be able to scan the codes. Are people at home going to scan it on their TV when a player is shown?

What's supposed to show up after you scan? Player stats or an ad for attending UCF.
I could see it eventually becoming a thing for sportsbetting.

Say you wanted live player prop odds for an NFL game/player. You scan their code on the TV and it automatically takes you to your sports book for live player props.

they are doing this because? google is my friend and i can search the players background if i want to.

Lets be honest. How many of you really give a crap about a players bio/stats? Maybe the QB's numbers and maybe a RB but most of that info is already provided by the TV broadcasters regularly.

I can't think of a time I needed to look up a players stats unless I was making a prop bet on them. I don't know. Maybe I'm missing something here.

feel like this is definitely for when youre physically at the game and have the players infront of you. if they're on bench, sideline, or during timeouts
