Two outs bottom 9 Twins up 3-2 nobody on

Betts infield single

Ohtani intentionally walked

Next guy Ruiz walked as well to load bases (non-intentional)

Freeman singles Betts and Ohtani in - game over 4-3 Dodgers

Obviously Ohtani on fire but don’t see this being correct strategically

Only guy I can remember getting this treatment was Bonds during his steroid years

Twins are a disaster of an organization and a classic example of why you don't die in a high tax state.

Team is $500m in debt because of estate taxes stemming from Carl's death. Non of his kids work. They put the 25 yr old nephew in charge of the team like it's a fukking ice cream shop.

Rocco and Falva are clowns 🤡 🤣 and nobody in the organization wants to fire them as they look for some loser to invest billions into Minneapolis Mogadishu.

MLB has big issues. KC, OAK, TB, CHIsox, MN are all unstable.

So the Twins thought it would be easier to ger Ruiz for the 3rd out than Ohtani. Makes a little sense considering how hot Ohtani has been. But, wait. They didn't get Ruiz out. They messed up and accidentally walked him.

Their wheels came off the wagon at that point.

There are unwritten rules of baseball that are timeless because they work. From the days of John McGraw and Connie Mack to Whitey Herzog & Tom Kelly.

These new analysis guys/ sabermetric guys are stupid and destroying baseball at its most fundamental level. This impacts the way young kids observe the game and more importantly its life lessons. There's a correlation to not walking the winning run, to not making a 3rd out at 3rd base, to throwing ahead of a baserunner vs behind, etc, and its long term impact is a generation of young men that are reckless, impatient, non calculating and risk prone.

Same w NFL. There was a time, not long ago, where passing was a risk. It was going to be incomplete 60% of the time, your QB was going to get hit and youd see more INTs than TDs. The emphasis was that the best way to win the game aka the combat, was to be more safe, more conservative and keep possession. Now its flag football with an emphasis on finesse. Glorification of the jerkoff receiver or Hollywood QB.

It's both an issue with the sports (NBA as well) and our current failing culture especially among what influences the minds and conduct of young men.

John McGraw & Ty Cobb just rolled over in their graves
