Trump could have also been influenced by the meeting with CEOs this week They indicated to him, shelves may go empty.

The CEOs of Walmart, Target, Home Depot and Lowe’s — all of whom delivered a blunt message about interruptions in the supply chain and its effects on consumers — were invited to the White House as part of an ongoing internal campaign to make the case to Trump about the real-world impact of his policies, administration officials said.

Do you have details on this?

Yeah, it goes like this...

We hiked Tariffs.

They said "fawk you we hike on you, bitch!"

We said "you didn't sit still when we fired a shot at you in the trade war, like others, so now we hike way the fukk up to embargo territory."

Then they said "Fawk you, we've been in a trade war with you for years and our people are willing to suffer, what will your people do when there's none of our shit on your shelves!!!"

The we said, "it's on!"

The we said, "wait, this isn't sustainable, let's all back down a few notches and fight with bullets instead of nukes"

So now everyone backs down and some people will get to claim we forced them to lower.

Sort of like claiming the greatest single day stock rise when you announced that liberation day is paused, forgetting that liberation day tanked the markets to begin with.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

The Art of The Deal.

Clearly no deal was made in advance of Trump backtracking.
If there was a deal, China wasn't involved and it only lived in Trump's head.

Guo Jiakun, China's foreign ministry spokesperson, stated at a press briefing on Wednesday......

China said "our doors are wide open" for talks after President Donald Trump softened his tone on the unfolding trade war between the world's two largest economies.

It isn't cooler heads fact of the matter is our government has been controlled by big money Jewish and Chinese interests for decades upon decades. China is the one that has everything to lose the exporters always ends up being squeezed by the importers they literally have nowhere to go if we didn't have paid off politicians.

China has nearly $1 trillion of US treasuries to sell off

They have more leverage than people realize

Ultimately this Trump stance is bad for both US and China

And Trump has enough competent people around him to talk him off the ledge

They have no leverage except for the politicians they have sold out. It is like being a bookie and saying Don Corleone owns you a 100 bucks.

Not true about leverage, China is huge and has plenty. It's a true trade war, not a one sided affair.

There's a right way and a wrong way to go about this.

They fukked up, paused it, and got a second chance to go at it.

It just took actual negotiation attempts for reality to hit.

Even if they can tier this and target the tariffs and try to do it the right way, there is a limit to what can actually happen.

The end goal of manufacturing coming back to the US on much of these products is simply unrealistic over even a decade period of time.

A certain reality must be accepted so that cooler heads can work this problem and set realistic expectations.

This issue is cost. The US economy is a major consumer economy. If we don't consume, shit hits the fan.

It's cheaper for us to kill the chicken here, ship it to China, then have them turn it into frozen nuggets, then ship it back to the US for sales than it is to make the frozen nugget here.

That won't change, unless we eliminate all regulations and start allowing child labor again.

There is a reality that people must face. An adjustment or change to that reality isn't as simple as some short term pain for the long term gain, some of those changes will be impossible.
