Portland is never as bad (or good frankly) as people end up claiming. That being said, there are a lot of problems here and currently a lot more trash about and open drug use than there used to be. A lot of problems end up getting 'swept' and moved from neighborhood to neighborhood over time. But getting back on topic, there really are some great pizza options here along with a great food cart scene as well. Good place for someone to visit who likes to eat!
