Titans fire Vrabel, decided against trading coach

The Tennessee Titans have fired coach Mike Vrabel, the team announced Tuesday.

I Like Vrabel. He will get hired by some team soon. Maybe not head coach but in some capacity I would guess.

Guy is too smart to come back to Columbus - he knows the expectations can never be met there. You could run the table and fans would complain you didn’t win by enough.

He will likely take a year or so off - see how the NFL carousel turns next offseason and pick the best fit. I’d like to see him take over in New England - I can see BB coming in and saying he wants a “farewell tour” then moving onto front office duties. No real heir apparent lined up - so this would give BB the opportunity to mentor and come up with a plan and to collect his accolades as coach - and Vrabel the opportunity to figure out who stays and who goes from a team with a lot of unproven talent.
