Free speech is exactly that. Always find it funny that certain ethnicities and religions are fine to mock and use slurs about but others are not. Unless someone is trying to instigate physical violence or harm against another person it should be taken with a grain of salt.

This is true. It only applies in relation to gov't related entities.
A business or private organization can restrict any speech they want.

I'm not disagreeing with Edawg that free speech is important, because it is, but as you mention Archie some people don't realize it doesn't apply to many situations.

I don't have an opinion on Baz's posting. It is entertaining but I can see how it would piss some people off as being over the top and possibly offensive.


As far as JJ's comments.... he's probably never been offended in his life by someone's comments,. Well, except that one time in Vegas when the lady asked him when he was going to whip-it-out after dropping his pants.

The thinwith dropping the ban hammer - it’s really hard to draw a line.

You say no personal attacks on other posters for example - but then you get certain posters who are continuously attacked (some rightfully so).

In my opinion - unless it’s an attack on family members or blatant hate speech - it’s up to the parties involved. If someone wants to take offense to it - let them complain to the forum/let mods give a warning and if it continues - ban.

At the same time - don’t be the one complaining to mods without expecting similar rules to be applied to you. Again - certain people are pretty thin skinned when it comes to comments made in their direction - but have no issue dishing it out.

Overall - Baz is a good poster - a bit rough at times sure, but would you rather read insightful handicapping with the occasional rant - or just a bunch of filler crap. Like I’ve said - at its core this is a GAMBLING forum and anyone who can pick winners consistently should be welcomed. Ignore a poster if they bother you.
