At my daughter's High School softball games, all of these girls these days will walk to the plate to bat, and hold their hand up high asking for time until they are ready

Every single one of them does it for no reason at all

We all know that comes from the big leagues when a batter is standing in the box and the pitcher takes too long or the batter just asks for a minute and puts up his hand asking for time

It only happens once in awhile

But these girls have seen it and they do it every single time they walk up to bat

Well my daughter started doing it and I talked to after the game and so don't do that anymore you even know why you're doing that

Her only answer was well everyone else does it LOL

So I explained it all to her...

When he turns 18, he‘s gonna help pay some fuckin’ bills around here (small %) lol & he has absolutely no problem with that. We gonna live together until he gets his life established. I will definitely give him his privacy if he ever brings home a lady friend. That’s why I moved out at an early age no privacy to act as an early adult with my parents. So I wasted a shit load of money on rent and bills early on in my life. We get along great & can talk about anything. I treat him like a man not a boy.

To help alleviate Venditto's fears that I've raised two militaristic/fascists, I'll say my wife is very open minded and gave the kids more freedom than me. We'd compromise all the time.

The kids partied (to some extent) as older teens without repercussions and were allowed to experiment just like mon/dad did when we were young but, in return for the leniency, whatever they were involved in, althletics/schools/work, they had to give it 100%. No half-a$$ efforts, no acting like a-holes, and no treating others with disrespect.

IMO they got to experience the "fun" side of growing up while making sure they didn't fubar their options and grow up to be future Karens or Kevins (unlike the path the kids in the video are taking).

I've found the best approach is the scare the hell out of them. When you answer the door, ask them to sit down at the table for a minute. Then you ask them a few questions while cleaning your gun. Its subtle, but they get the idea.
