It seems you can’t have them very long, because when the battery dies on you, you’re fucked for a +20k replacement. I would never buy a used one, that’s for sure.

yep and this is also something to think about. say you need to evacuate the area cause of some major emergency, the battery on a tesla will go 267 miles on a full single charge. meanwhile with my vw passat can go over 660 miles on one full tank. id take my passat lol

We'll need to wait for more charging stations before jumping in the electric car market. I can't imagine the wait for charging stations in larger cities.

I have heard new battery technology being developed will allow cars to charge in 10-15 minutes and allow you to go a lot farther on a charge.

But, you can expect in 20-30 years, every new car will be electric.
