If by monk you mean Eastern faiths, then, no, there’s no evidence he took any scholarship in Vedic or Chinese spirituality. Though, what I know about Jesus is limited to my knowledge of Islam and Christianity, I’m no expert on his travels or everything he ever did, so I’m not sure if he’d even ever spoke about Eastern faiths.

But, to the question, he was born in Asia, died in Asia, (according to Islam and Christianity) will return from within Asia, but he was never a monk in Western or Eastern faiths.
