This forum used to support each other

i have been a lurker for a long time after following some others over until making an account recently after all of this time. What I remember a year ago and years going back is that BMR posters supported each other which is what made me start coming back to this forum. Now there are guys who throw sissy fits because they don’t like what someone posts especially about politics and they make the place toxic or run away and hide like little girls. The founding members here need to make BMR strong again and silence the bigots or moderators need to ban them.

Appreciate the mention, yes I am 100% for the posters here as a gambling forum brotherhood, although I have less than a handful of posters I have gone after for specific reasons only.

Sure there are a few trolls here and there but you’ll get that anywhere

There’s always going to be fun ball breaking and sarcastic humor

But I agree some definitely take it too far with some of the things mentioned above

It was general conversation with some back & forth from others and it made me think back to the good ol days here when we ALL were in support of each other and I know without a doubt you remember so I almost brought it up

All forums are the same now. Facebook, Twitter, SBR, etc. nothing but a bunch of negative nellies and ball busters. Cant get a good thread going without it being highjacked like Passenger 57. If only the gambling forum could provide intelligent information from knowledgeable bettors then I could do without the other BS.

Overall - I think it still does a good job of that and remains the best forum in terms of traffic and posters.

Political division is just a natural fact of politics. I remain completely capable of holding a political opinion that differs from others - but not letting it cross over to personal relationships.

It’s more disturbing to me that someone blindly follows a party line for example- than supporting a candidate I disagree with personally.

And at the end of the day - it’s a sports betting forum. Politics are just the sideshow here. The focus should be on betting. If you disagree with a betting opinion - state your case. I’ve often said there are posters here who when they are opposite me I look at the why and will review my position. Sometimes it’s as simple as it’s a basic coin flip and we are on opposite sides of the trade. Sometimes I find something I’ve missed.

After SBR got sold BMR was a great forum... better than SBR ever was. Positivity and support were everywhere. I remember when MinnyFats trolled me after I posted about a death in my family and tommir posted Putin propaganda they were total outliers. It was easy to shrug them off back then. Now the situation is reversed and I feel like I am the outlier.

I still have great respect for the hard work the mods do. The mods, Tanko, stormy, JDS, Sam and many others post great stuff. Their posts and the contests keep me coming back, but it's not the same forum. If you don't like it, Patsfan, then you (and I) are free to stop posting. If we want to keep posting we just have to deal with/ignore the racism, trolling and hateful political posts. It's just the way it is.

Much love to all of the posters... especially JJ, Philly, Minny and that whole crew. We may look at the forum/world differently, but I still wish you all the best in life. Flame away if you must... I've learned to expect it. GL

I would disagree with your 1st point, this forum can be very personable on certain days. As far as your second point yeah well that’s life in a nutshell, peaches & cream are for the frauds.
